The Kaikoura Education Trust $4,831 For equipment for a weekly community meal that improves community connections and wellbeing.
Kaikoura Ocean Research Institute Inc. $2,300 To replace equipment that was broken in the earthquake and provide free penguin education programmes to school children. The Institutes ability to continue to provide this programme was impacted by the earthquake.
Hurunui District Council $3,900 To provide portable toilets at the Cheviot school and community swimming pool while the existing toilets and changing sheds undergo earthquake damage repairs.
Kaikoura District Council $65,000 To employ a Communications Co-ordinator for 12 months to support the Councils and communitys communications on earthquake recovery and rebuild.
Hurunui District Council $16,850 For repairs to the earthquake damaged community swimming pool at Rotheram.
Waikari Bowling Club $5,000 For earthquake damage repairs to the Waikari Bowling Club.
Marlborough Youth Development Trust $12,000 To deliver the Kiwi Can programme to Ward School to support pupils wellbeing and resilience following the earthquake.
Awatere Early Learning Centre Inc. $10,327 For a feasibility study and concept design for a new under 5s hub in Seddon to replace buildings that were destroyed or badly damaged in the earthquake. The hub is proposed to house a number of services.
Kaikoura District Council $2,748 To provide workshops for young people on building their own skateboards and surfboards using re-cycled timber from earthquake demolitions. The project will help to improve young peoples community connections, recreational opportunities and wellbeing.
